Krista and Roble
Krista on Roble wearing his Peruvian Horse Show Saddle

This is a small local show with championship level points. Conformationally Robles is not of show quality, but he certainly proved that he's a show horse in his first outing. Although Krista has been riding Roble and working with his owner, Dawn, for about 18 months, they'd been working on show riding with a Peruvian Horse trainer for a week! Entered in Trail, Ladies' Performance, and Champagne, they placed Second, in Trail and Champagne.

Trail
Krista and Roble's performance, with it's excellent execution at a nice speed, and without any hesitation or refusals, earned them a Second Place finish. First Place was performed with a slightly faster time.

Champagne-Second Place
Champagne This fun class requires that the rider follow commands while holding a champagne glass filled to the brim. The winner is the rider with the most 'champagne' in their glass at the end of the class.

Ladies' Performance
Competition was fierce in this 11 horse class. Twenty percent of the class' ranking is based on gait: an area where Roble needs more work. He also refused the walk when asked. Roble's experience has been as a trail horse, and it's expected that more arena work will see his show results improve dramatically. This was also Krista's first outing at a Peruvian Horse show.
